SUAMICO (WLUK) — Next year will mark 20 years of ‘Al’ and ‘Tutti,’ both Aldabra giant tortoises currently living at the NEW Zoo.

Weather permitting, the tortoises will soon, ever so slowly, emerge outside from their enclosure — a first since the start of the year.

Aldabra tortoises hail from the Seychelles, an island chain in the Indian Ocean off East Africa. The average temperature there ranges between 79 and 82 degrees Fahrenheit.
