Curious case of the tortoise stolen TWICE in one weekend
Kidnaped: Both reptiles were taken this time

Two tortoises were stolen just hours after one of them was brought back after the farm where he lived appealed for his safe return.

Staff at Puxton Park Farm, North Somerset, were celebrating the return of tortoise Teo today after he was reported missing on Saturday, but returned on Sunday after the appeal struck the thief’s conscience.

But just hours after being brought back, someone broke into his cage and stole him and playmate Taylor, who had been spared from the initial ordeal.

A spokesperson said: « We would like to report that after successfully retrieving Teo today one of our lovely customers has now forced their way into the enclosure and helped themselves to both Tortoises.

« We are devastated again, and any information about this would be greatly appreciated. »

It was suspected the first theft was carried out by a visitor on Saturday, but an unknown man called the farm and left the animal at a nearby community hall for staff to collect this morning.
