Berkshire Tortoise Club is holding its fourth annual open day at St Barnabas Hall, Grove Road in Emmer Green, Berkshire. on Saturday, May 12 from 11am to 3.30pm.
There will be children’s activities including face painting and games, and there will also be cakes, plants, children’s clothing and tortoise-related stalls, a bbq and sand art.
Tortoises will be on display and for sale.
And there will be a chance for tortoise owners to get their pets micro chipped from £15 per tortoise.
Tortoise lovers can also find about more about the slow moving animals during a talk by vet Dr Bruce Maclean.
There will also be information and advice available during the day.
Entrance to the open day near Reading, Berkshire, is £1 per adult and 25p per child.
The aim of the club is to promote tortoise welfare in captivity.
