It’s a tortoise race to predict the Indy 500. Think Jimmy Fallon’s ‘Puppy Bowl’ before the Super Bowl but a lot slower. If the Zoopolis 500 is any predictor, it looks like the pole sitter for the 100th running of the Indianapolis 500 could win it all. The green flag dropped Wednesday morning for the 37th annual Zoopolis 500 at the Indianapolis Zoo. Five radiated tortoises competed — James, Marco, Pippa, Helio and Ed. James was the runaway winner, taking the checkered flag. Indy fan favorite Tony Kanaan served as the race steward. The prize was a tray of fruit that all five tortoises got to enjoy.
